I went to Randall’s Island in New York for the 2017 Governor’s Ball Music Festival. This was my first music festival and I definitely recommend it! It runs for three days, but I only got a day pass. My favorite performances were Judah and the Lion, The Strumbellas, Tove Lo, Lorde, Flume, and Chance the Rapper. I really loved the art work throughout the Island and I’m linking the artists in this post because they are all so talented and definitely worth checking out!
The wristbands they provide you with can connect to a credit card which was really convenient for purchasing food and drinks. All of the vendors could be conveniently found on the Governor’s Ball app. This interactive app allowed you to create a schedule based on artists you wanted to see and also provided all of the different activities and spots to go to. This is not an overnight camping music festival, but there are hotels available if you were looking to get a three day pass.
For my outfit, I wanted to make sure I wore something comfortable for the long day. My cold shoulder band tee is from Boohoo, and my bandana was hand-made. My aunt and I make necklaces and bandanas that can be found on our Instagram, artci_necklaces. Fishnet socks are still in trend and I have posted mine before, but they can be found on ASOS.
